Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame Systems
DeepStream’s seven primary anodized aluminum extrusions create the Audubon and Mariner Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame Systems used to craft the cost-effective solutions you see on our website.
DeepStream Designs’ structural architectural aluminum frame system extrusions should not be confused with typical thin-wall extrusions. The aircraft aluminum walls of our primary extrusions are ¼” thick and are engineered for slide-in-easy modular construction, accepting almost any material of any thickness: Glass, stone, metal, wood, recycled plastic lumber, 3form Ecoresin, polycarbonate, copper, even fabric.
Audubon Anodized Aluminum Frame System Components and Examples
Audubon anodized Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System’s five proprietary extrusions and 316 stainless steel mounts. Jewel-like, they are sophisticated enough for indoor use, yet are weather and salt water resistant for use outdoors. All parts are replaceable, there is no paint or powder coating to fail, and all products are backed by a Lifetime Structural Warranty and unique Core Replacement Program.
These five primary anodized structural aluminum extrusions are the backbone of the Audubon Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System. They are engineered to allow slide-in-quick-and-easy assembly to create everything from large screen wall enclosures with gates to trash and recycling bins, to custom cabinetry and fixtures, creating solutions for a wide range of clients’ operational needs.
Privacy, Security, and Protective Screens assembled with the Audubon Anodized Aluminum Frame System.
DeepStream Designs creates the dies in house, as well as its aluminum push flaps for trash and recycling receptacles, and stainless steel hardware from lids and shelves to hinges for a wide array of custom fixtures. Our system adapts to meet your specific needs. More details and examples of Commercial Screen Wall.
The Audubon Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System was used to build this slide-in-easy bronze-anodized 24′ x 21′ x 6’ H large equipment screen wall with double gates erected around an installation of several industrial size electrical utility and transformer boxes at a large city park maintenance building. The proprietary rigid, but hollow, 4” aluminum planks are part of the Audubon Frame System, and here they create upper and lower lightweight panels in each section that slide up and out of the Audubon extrusion’s unique slots for 360° unhindered equipment access. The equipment screen is also fitted with a 6’ wide double gate for everyday access.
This High-Wind Screen Wall at an Alaskan housing project creates a balcony privacy screen that withstands 145 MPH gusts of wind coming off a glacier. This balcony privacy screen with slide-in-easy assembly is created using DeepStream’s Audubon Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System’s L, Terminal, and Intermediate extrusions as uprights. The Audubon system’s U-Channel and H-Channel hold the polycarbonate panels in the horizontal direction. The screen wall is wall-mounted at each end and fastened to the concrete curb with bolt-down 316 stainless steel mounts, so there is no paint or powder coating to fail in the extreme arctic coastal environment.
A large balcony privacy screen wall is created with DeepStream’s Audubon Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System and slide-in-easy panels of 3form Ecoresin with a Birch branch pattern on a translucent background. The privacy screen’s two panels are joined using an Audubon Intermediary extrusion in the center, and are finished at each end with an Audubon Terminal extrusion. One end is anchored using a commercial wood planter with a frame created using the Mariner Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System to hold panels crafted from environmentally friendly, no-maintenance recycled plastic lumber and a waterproof recycled plastic inner liner with advanced drainage that hides the drip irrigation system.
A unique feature of the Audubon Aluminum Frame System is the simple, yet robust, slide-in-easy assembly of the system, which saves time and money using non-skilled labor for the assembly of screen walls, fences, and enclosures. Further cost savings derives from the system’s ability to use the anodized aluminum U-Channel extrusion to create composite panels using thin versions of expensive materials like 3form, copper, and marble, or difficult materials like glass and fabric. This allows Architects and Designers an unlimited palette of design materials for projects that may not have been viable without this value-engineered solution.
The Audubon Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System is engineered to allow cost-effective, slide-in-quick-and-easy, assembly of simple or complex customer solutions. Solid, composite, or even fabric panels are captured on the vertical edge by proprietary anodized aluminum U-channel.
In addition to slide-in-easy assembly, more cost savings are derived from the Audubon Aluminum Frame System U-channel’s ability to create composite panels using a thin version of expensive materials like 3form and marble, or difficult materials like glass and fabric.
The Audubon Aluminum Frame System U-channel was designed to facilitate slide-in-easy assembly and create composite panels for the Audubon Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System from even the thinnest materials like expensive copper sheet.
The Track-To-Void component of the Audubon proprietary anodized Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System is used to connect one primary extrusion to another. Here the track-to-void connector is inserted in a Terminal extrusion, ready to connect to a T-extrusion by sliding the connector into the channel acceptance slot.
The The Audubon Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System has a Track-To-Void component designed to quickly connect one primary extrusion to another. Here the track-to-void connector joins a Terminal extrusion to an L-corner extrusion.
316 stainless steel mounts are inserted into the void in any of the Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System’s primary extrusions — in this example, a Terminal leg. The size of the mounts can vary depending on the engineering requirements of your application.
The proprietary anodized U-Channel extrusion component of the Audubon Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System is used not only to capture panels that slide into the primary extrusions, but also in reverse to fill the panel acceptance slot for a clean, finished appearance, and to support panels or as “stops” using set screws.
Audubon Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System proprietary anodized H Channel is used to join two panels by their edges for a clean modern look.
The Audubon Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System’s proprietary anodized H-Channel is used to join two 3form Ecoresin Gingko Leaf panels by their edges to create large, modern privacy screen panels of up to 8 square feet.
Our customers turn to DeepStream for simple, rugged, cost-effective, easy-to-install custom solutions to their commercial operational challenges that will stand the test of time, without custom or design fees.

An aluminum tube is used to hold fabric or shade cloth, with a sleeve sewn into the edge, to create low-cost, air-permeable, fixed side curtains or fabric privacy screens, held by the flawless anodized panel acceptance slot designed into all of the Audubon Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System’s primary extrusions. We have tested Coolaroo shade fabric for more than 15 years and it still looks great.
The interconnection of a double layer of internal cross bracing used as structural reinforcement with both the Audubon and Mariner Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System’s primary extrusions. While primarily used on our large planter systems for rooftop landscaping projects that require really large installations, the principles apply for other structures like privacy screens, screen wall enclosures, and cabanas.
Every primary extrusion of the Audubon Structural Architectural Aluminum Frame System is engineered with a slide-in-easy panel acceptance slot that allows components, like this heavy-duty extruded anodized aluminum panel clip, to engage and distribute even extreme loads.
