Typically the molding process results in a 1"-3" flat flange around edge which adds stiffness to the planter liner. The flange can be trimmed down to 3/4" minimum. The resulting wall thickness is typically .125-.250", depending on the size and depth of the liner being formed. Unlike the UV-stable LLDPE Stock liners, painting the flange or exposed parts the liner for UV protection is recommended for direct sun exposure in exterior applications or the exposed areas will become brittle after several years.
These tapered planter liners are made to order in 6" increments of lengths with widths varying from 10" at the top, 8" at the bottom, to 35" wide at the top, 32" at the bottom. The standard color is black but Krylon Fusion for Plastic© spray paint makes it easy for you to custom color them.
For orders of less than 5 liners of the same length a $115 setup fee is added. As with many custom garden products, lead times increase as the spring and summer progress, so expect them to take 3 to 4 weeks, or up to 6 weeks, depending on the quantity and time of year.

These plastic liners are water-efficient, rectangular planter liners for areas where drip irrigation is impracticable. The double-wall liners feature an overflow drain for exterior use, or may be ordered without a drain for interior use (great for cabinets or planter walls).
The manual-fill reservoir holds a generous amount of water, and uses Tournesol Siteworks’ proprietary vacuum-sensor system to precisely monitor the soil moisture level in the pot. It dispenses exactly the amount of water required, and typically can go 4X longer between refilling than if the plant were watered by hand.
The water rises from the orifices in the bottom of the liner so it is important to use Bio-Barrier© pads over the bottom cover disks to prevent root blockage. It is important to note that due to the watering system delivering water bottom up, instead of top down, you will have better growing results when the plants all have the same root depth. Generally, outdoor plantings will do better with drip irrigation.
The plants benefit by the system holding a consistent balance of moisture and oxygen at the root level, no matter the length of the liner. For use in millwork planters, window boxes, or longer planter walls, the units are typically installed modularly end to end. Because the design is a planter within a planter, with the water stored between the two liner walls, the soil volume is considerably less than if you order the standard ABS planter liners above.

If your planters will not be dug up and replanted every year then we strongly recommend adding Drain Filter Packs for each drain. A three-part filter combines the waffled plastic backing of TREMdrain, three layers of filter fabric, and Biobarrier buttons to inhibit root growth. They may not stop aggressive root systems like Bamboo and Clusia.
Filter packs, when used in conjunction with clean 1-2 mm inorganic drainage material to slow the flow of the water to the drain, could prevent clogged drains for a decade or more.
